Do you have to keep a mileage log but thinks it is boring.
Travelreporter makes it as easy as it can be. Tap start trip when you enter the car and then tap stop trip when you are at your destination.
Travelreporter will automatically log your start address, end address, distance travelled in miles or kilometers, time for the trip, and, if you want, place/customer and the cars odometer reading.
You can see your trip on a map, to help you navigate both during the trip, and later if you want to recall your route.
To change between kilometers and miles or liters and gallons, or if you want to enable quick choice of car and/or odometer check, just open the iPhone settings app, scroll down to Travelreporter and change.
You dont have to enter any text, but if you want, you can add a note and/or expenses. If you should forget to stop your trip you will be reminded after standing still for 10 minutes.
If you forget to log a trip, you can add the addresses later and the app will calculate a distance for the trip.
You can create different reports, which you can send by e-mail, save to your computer (via iTunes) or print.
You can create tax reports with odometer readings and expenses.
You can also follow up your fuel consumption per car. The only thing you have to do is enter the amount, when you refuel your car.
The app can log various trip data including Date, Start address, End Address, Start time, End time, Start odometer, End odometer, Expenses, Total time for the trip, Distance travelled, Place/Customer, Car used, Notes and if it is a Private trip.
You can sort the reports, with subtotals on Place/Customer and Car.
You will get an abbreviated report on the iPhone and a full report that you can email, print or copy to your computer both as an HTML report and as a .csv-report for MS Excel etc.
When you stop a trip you can, if you want, get a list of Places/Customers sorted on Start or End place, to choose from, for easy finding.
You can also get a list of cars to choose from.
Travelreporter will log everything in the background, so you can make a phone call or use other apps during your trip or you can lock the screen to save battery.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

This is a great implementation of this idea. Automates a lot of the gruntwork. Simple and works. I searched through and purchased a lot of these kinds of apps before settling on this one. Highly recommended!
This app is great, I do agree that u should be able to manually add a trip just in case u forget, also I think it needs to have an option in the reporting section to be able to show the notes on the report. Other than that this is everything I need. Super user friendly and pleasing to the eye. Not too much meaningless mumbo jumbo. Thank u!!!!!!
Outstanding! As the title says, I just dont rate them.
I needed something more simplistic ( or lazy ) than trip cubby ( not that it is bad ). I just wanted something that could follow me. I use my truck everyday for a cable company I work with in Alberta, Canada. I have the ability like many to write off business use and driving over 40,000km a year both personal and business, you can imagine the tracking nightmare that becomes for CRA reporting.
This app is a dream. Start, stop and save. Export to PDF or xcel and print. Seriously simple and brilliant. THIS I would recommend.
Ever since the update my ending mileage does not appear in my report.
Some bad moments
The update has yet to work. Im now concerned that two years worth of data may be lost for good. Waiting for an up dated update.
If you have used this product, it is actually pretty good and useful, but once you get this app working on your iPhone, never upgrade!!!! These guys keep putting out updates that rarely work. Save yourself the frustration and aggravation waiting for a patch to patch the patch!!! Service is also none existent.
Since the 2 last updates, this app stays hooked to localization after being shut down and so increases battery consumption. The localization arrow stays on in the top right corner. Only way to turn it off is to slide the localization permission of the app to off in the settings.
This app is terrible, it wont even open up. I reported the problem, and have yet to hear back. Do not buy this app. I wish I wouldve read the other 2 reviews before I purchased it.
I looked for a long time online to find an application that does gps tracking for my business car travel... this app does exactly that, and it is super easy as well, plus easy to email the reports to yourself so you can keep an independent copy incase the iphone gets lost... it also has features to track gas milage, but since my wife is using the car as well i dont think that function will work very well, but we will see.
great application, if we now could get automatic online backups of the logs that would be even better:)

Downloaded the firmware update 2 weeks later.....the email function now works!
Need a fix for the simultaneous operations! Not able to take calls while recording trip.....results in a null error!
Guys.....this an excellent app if you can get the sim opps function working!
